A very nice beach with a river mouth. Dogs can be off-leash north and south of the river mouth after Labor Day until June 15th. During the summer, June 16th through Labor Day, Dogs must be on leash. Some paid street parking on Camino Del Mar adjacent to the beach or park for free south of river mouth.

Also, from 29th Street in Del Mar going south about 2 miles to the north end of Torrey Pines State Beach, dogs are allowed on leash after Labor Day until June 15th. This makes for a nice long walk.

Attracts a social group of dogs (and owners)! The bigger dogs tend to hang out at the north side of the river, while the smaller dogs tend to hang out on the south side. Great family beach too!
